More than a dozen people gathered on Main Street at Grinnell Plaza again Saturday to raise awareness to what David Myers said is a flood of bad legislation coming out of Cheyenne related to education.

That measure was House Bill 150, which would have provided funds for families to send their children to private schools. Real Resistance Wyoming, an organization to which Myers belongs, protested that bill in a similar demonstration downtown at the end of January.

Myers said many of those gathered downtown this week are Real Resistance members, but he said there were others who aren't members but who participated in the protest.

Myers said the protesters were out Saturday specifically because of Sen. Dave Kinskey's proposed amendment to the state Constitution.

He said Real Resistance Wyoming feels that Kinskey wants to take the courts out of the equation so that Wyoming citizens and school districts couldn't sue the state for not fulfilling its constitutional obligation.
