Police Chief Discusses New Liquor License Ordinance

Posted in

The Sheridan City Council at their most recent meeting passed ordinance #2178, the new liquor license ordinance.

The ordinance must still be approved one more time before it becomes law. Sheridan Police Chief Richard Adriaens says that a lot of work has been done in tweaking the ordinance following first reading approval in May.

Adriaens says that standards is an issues that still needs to be addressed with the Liquor Dealers and their Attorney Tony Wendtland.

The Council is expected to consider the ordinance on third and final reading at their next meeting, Monday, June 19. Adriaens said he’s confident that both sides will be able to come to a resolution prior to the ordinance being considered by the Council on the 19th.
