Poker Tournament Benefits Food Pantry

The Bread Of Life Food Pantry in Buffalo will be the beneficiary of a Texas Hold 'Em Poker Tournament this weekend at the Cowboy Saloon in Buffalo.

Mike Duncan, co-organizer of the tournament, said he and Lance Lopez wanted to do this as a fundraiser, and he explains how it came about.

Duncan said the food pantry is always in need of donations but especially around the Holidays, and it just seemed natural to name them as the beneficiary.

The Texas Hold 'Em Tournament will begin at 12:30pm on Sunday, November 10th, and will require a $100 buy-in.
Those interested in playing are asked to pre-register by stopping in to the Cowboy Saloon Saturday night, or to contact Duncan or Lopez, so they can plan around the number of those participating.

Twenty-five percent of the proceeds will go to the food pantry, and 75% will go to the prize pool.

For more information or to register, contact Mike Duncan at 217-2298 or Lance Lopez at 752-5893.
