The City of Sheridan's parking requirements were added to the City's zoning ordinance in 1974. Since that time, there have been no changes to the parking requirements, prompting city staff to draft an ordinance that revises the regulations for off street parking regarding future development. City Planning Director Robert Briggs says that a lot has changed since the mid 70's.

Monday night, the City Planning Commission recommended approval of the ordinance to the City Council, however, they did include the stipulation that staff look at altering the size of parking spaces.

The item will now go before City Council for future consideration.
