Planning Commission OK's Request to Vacate Portion of B Street

The Sheridan City Planning Commission put forth a recommendation to approve a request to vacate a portion of B Street between Custer Street and Sheridan Avenue to accommodate existing businesses.

Planning and Development Director for the city, Robert Briggs, explains what took place at Monday's meeting.

Briggs says utilities will not be affected, nor will public access to B street, if the request moves forward.

Dave Randall with Randall Engineering says if the vacation request is approved by the city council based on the planning commission's recommendation, the marketability of the property would increase as he says lending institutions see encroachment as taboo.
