The City of Sheridan Planning Commission considered a number of items at their meeting Monday night. Sheridan Media's Ron Richter was there and has this report.

The Commission recommended approval of the Cloud Peak Ranch Sixteenth Filing rezone and preliminary plat. The rezone will change 2.6 acres from R-3 residence to an R-1 residence district. The preliminary plat creates a subdivision of 7.5 acres into 24 lots and five out-lots, located north of Mydland Road and Dome Drive, and east of Featherbed Lane.

Last year the City Council pulled the project from consideration due to opposition of the rezone that was being requested at the time. Developer Don Roberts was looking to have the property zoned R-3, which did not sit well with adjacent property owners. City Planning Director Robert Briggs says that the rezone means that it will now be a straight up R-1 subdivision.

Also recommended for approval was a request from a homeowner to vacate nearly 2,100 square feet of of the West Loucks right-of-way for the construction of a garage. The items will now go before the City Council for consideration at a future meeting.
