Officials: Unattended Burning Slash Pile Started Wildfire

Officials now say a wildfire that burned through 12 acres south of Sheridan on Saturday started when a burning slash pile was left unattended, and high winds fanned the flames out of control.

City Attorney 'Confident' City Will Get Easements Soon

Buffalo City Attorney Ben Kirven reported to the city council recently that he is “confident” the city will finally have the easements needed for the South Tank Water Pipeline project that has been in the planning and development stages for a number of years.
