This year's Pinewood Derby, which was held at Hammer's Chevrolet in Sheridan on Saturday, raised over $2,000 to benefit the local Boy Scout and Cub Scout programs. Before the Scouts had their round of races, local businesses competed with home-made mini-derby cars.

Sheridan Media's Betsy Love caught up with this year's last-place contestant from the business round. Coincidentally, it was one of Sheridan Media's cars and was raced by Grant Toth.

Grant's car tended had a little trouble staying on track. Of course, there is always next year, right

After local businesses for the fundraiser portion, five local "packs" of Scouts competed.
