At their last meeting, the Buffalo City Council heard a report on his department from City Building Inspector Toby Rhoades.

Rhoades reported he had issues five building permits in the last two weeks and has seen interest in vacant city lots, and inquiries into soils type requirements in the city code.

Rhoades also gave more information on this year's city-wide cleanup.

Residents wanting to participate in the City-Wide Spring Cleanup need to bring a current water bill for proof of residency to City Hall and get the free voucher to use that weekend.

Rhoades said he is getting more calls and sending more certified letters concerning leaves being raked into the street by homeowners, which is against city code. He sees the same problem in the winter with snow pushed into the street and then leaves and other debris in the spring.
