Parkman Days

An all around good time was found in Parkman, Saturday, as friends and family alike gathered to celebrate Parkman Days and Sheridan Media’s Judy Hagerott was there and brings us the story.

Cowboys, bikers, horses and tractors, if variety is the spice of life, well, those gathered for Parkman Days added there own little spice to the pot. A tradition that’s been carried on for the last 25 years, Dennis Davis is the owner of the Parkman Bar and told us how Parkman Days began.

The girls prevailed. Parkman has been home to Davis for the last 30 years.

Becky Carico, with her husband, has been cooking up the beans for the Chuckwagon Feed for the last 12 years. She said everyone is welcome at Parkman Days.

One of the highlights of the day was the lawn mower races. Bonnie Longtine from Ranchester said next year she’s getting in on the action and bringing her lawn mower.

The day began with a parade, then lawn mower races, a poker ride and a chuckwagon feed. Live music and dancing finished off the night.
