Parade Day Starts With Pancakes

For thousands of Sheridan area residents and visitors, the day of the Sheridan-WYO Rodeo Parade starts with a pancake breakfast on Grinnell Plaza.

Brionna Nider said she and her family go every year to the event.

Originally started by Sheridan's Kiwanis Club, the breakfast for the past couple of years has been organized by Sheridan Boy Scouts. Scoutmaster Paul Dickinson explained how the transition came about.

Dickinson said the breakfast is now called the Memorial Pancake Breakfast in Dr. Bisbee's memory.

He said the event is planned to feed around 4,000 to 5,000 people. Donations help provide the food, and Dickinson said set-up starts around 4 o'clock in the morning. Serving starts around 7 a.m.
