The population of Ucross more than quadrupled Saturday for the 3rd annual “Christmas at the Ucross Park” celebration. Held in the Raymond Plank Creative Center, the event featured live music sung by the Buffalo Balladiers, crafts of the children, and refreshments.

Mission accomplished for the ladies of the First United Methodist Church and their annual “Gingerbread Cookie House” sale. A sale like non-other, cookies and candy were sold at $6 a pound. With the large variety of treats on hand would, the selection was sure to satisfy anybody’s sweet tooth.

County, City, Continue to Work on Jail Contract

In late September, representatives with Sheridan County issued an ultimatum to the City of Sheridan to pay $91.23 a day for inmates housed at the Sheridan County Detention Center on municipal ordinances or find another facility to house inmates by October 30.
