Wyoming outlaws Tom O'Day and Bronco Nell will invade the Johnson County Library this Friday evening at 7pm.

Well, Wyomingites Ray and Jackie Maple will be invading as they portray the outlaws during a living history performance that will educate those attending as to who the outlaws were and how they lived.

O'Day, portrayed by Ray Maple, was an outlaw that rode with Butch Cassidy and the Wild Bunch in and around the Hole-In-The-Wall country near Kaycee and elsewhere in Johnson County.

Nell, portrayed by Jackie Maple, was an early day freighter near Meeteetse and was better known as a “mis-brander of horses.”

Library Director Cynthia Twing tells us more about the Maples, who hail from Cody, and their living history program.

The presentation, sponsored by the Johnson County Library Foundation, is free and open to the public and will begin at 7pm Friday evening at the library.
