A motion hearing was held Wednesday in 4th Judicial District Court for 29-year-old Shawn Osborne, who is charged with 1st Degree Murder.

At a pre-trial conference in October, Prosecuting Attorney Matt Redle stated to the Court that there would be a scheduling conflict regarding one of the State's witnesses from the State Crime Lab in Cheyenne. Redle indicated Wednesday that the issue has been taken care of as a video deposition from Scott McWilliams from the Crime Lab was performed earlier this month and will be used during the trial next week.

Osborne's Defense Attorney Robert Jones said that he had no objections with the video deposition, and that he would not object to it being submitted as evidence at the trial. Jones did inform the Court that his client would be withdrawing his Not Guilty by Reason of Mental Deficiency plea.

The Osborne 1st Degree Murder trial is scheduled to begin this coming Monday with jury selection at 8:30 am. The trial is scheduled for Monday, November 15th to Friday, November 19th.

Osborne is charged with 1st Degree Murder for allegedly killing 42-year-old Gerald Bloom on January 15th, 2010.
