Although final numbers won't be in for a couple of months, those organizing this year's Buffalo Relay For Life events say it was another success.

Monica Burridge, the organizer for this year's events, said everything went great, and they were happy with the
turnout.

The relay events began Saturday evening in Crazy Woman Square with the survivor's lap and later culminating with the Children's Luminaria and the Luminaria events just after dark.
The relay then moved to the train side of Washington Park Sunday morning for the 1-mile and 5-mile runs and the 1-mile walk and wrapped up with a community picnic.

Numbers for this weekend's events were made available, but final numbers for the campaign won't be released until after it closes later this summer.

Burridge said the 2014 Relay For Life campaign will not close until August, so there is still time to donate to help find a cure for cancer.
