One Killed in Pickup Crash Near Hardin

HARDIN, Mont. (AP) - A pickup went off an Interstate 90 off ramp in Hardin and down a 60 foot embankment, killing one person and injuring three others. The Montana Highway Patrol says a pickup truck with four occupants exited Interstate 90 at 9:30 a.m. Monday, but the driver failed to stop at a stop sign. The pickup went through an intersection and down an embankment. The pickup came to rest on its top. A 22-year-old man from Crow Agency died at the scene.

The driver, a 22-year-old man from Poplar, was flown to a Billings hospital. Two other passengers - a 16-year-old girl and a 25-year-old man - were treated at a Hardin hospital. Their names have not been released. The Bureau of Indian Affairs continues to investigate.
