Officials Investigate Death As Homicide

Law enforcement officials in Big Horn County are investigating the death of a 42-year-old Saint Xavier man.

The information's coming from Q2 news in Billings. According to the report, the investigation is being handled as a homicide. The man has been identified as Franklin Red Wolf, no address given. His body was discovered Saturday near the Two Leggins river access area south of Hardin.

Big Horn County Coroner Terry Bullis said Red Wolf was found around 12:30 Saturday afternoon and had been deceased for several hours. The investigation is currently being handled by the Big Horn County Sheriff's Office, the Bureau of Indian Affairs and FBI. The coroner said an autopsy is scheduled for today. At that time, more information could be available on the nature of Red Wolf's death.

The news organization contacted the FBI for more information about the incident, but by Sunday afternoon had not received a response as of Sunday afternoon. It is unknown at this time if any arrests were made in connection to the case or if a suspect has been identified.
