Occupy Protester Tells His Story

Occupy Protester Tells His Story

In late December, a well-known musician from Tensleep, Wyoming was arrested along with nine other protesters at the Occupy Iowa Caucus in downtown Des Moines, Iowa. Sheridan Media's Ron Richter has more.

The Occupy movement is an international protest movement that is directed against economic and social inequality. The origin of exactly how the movement began is still up for debate, but the first protest to receive in-depth media coverage was the Occupy Wall Street last fall.

At the Occupy Iowa Caucus protest in late December, musician Jalan Crossland from Ten Sleep was one of those who were arrested for his actions. Crossland explains what led to his brush with the Des Moines Police Department.

All things considered, Jalan says the experience wasn't that bad at all.

Jalan said that Occupy has provided him with an attorney to represent him in the case. As far as any last words from the musician/activist?

Crossland and the other protesters were charged with Criminal Trespass, which is a misdemeanor.
