Obesity Could Play a Large Role In Cancer In Wyoming

The American Cancer Society estimates that up to a third of Wyoming's annual cancer deaths are linked to obesity, and that about one thousand die in Wyoming each year from cancer. The A-C-S also estimates that about 25% of Wyomingites are obese. Matt Flory with the American Cancer Society.

Flory says that general awareness about the obesity-cancer risk is lacking.

The A-C-S says obesity is directly linked to risks of twelve cancers, including breast and colon cancer.
