NW Water Line Project 65% Finished

Buffalo City Works Director Les Hook gave his report to the city council at their last meeting, saying the NW Water Pipeline Project is roughly 65% complete.
They have laid just over 15,000 feet, or nearly three miles of pipeline that contractors are now working to pressure test.

The storage tank is complete with only minor aesthetic work to be completed on the interior floor.

The last three picnic tables have been constructed and placed in the new shelter adjacent to the outdoor pool and the band shell in Washington Park.

Crews have been busy working on alleys, potholes and street cuts, he said.

When asked about the light poles at the Sports Fields Complex, Hook explained the wiring issue with them.

Councilman Dave Long asked about the road from Highway 16 West to the 3D Archery Range, and Hook said crews will construct that after the archery club is done with the range this fall.
He will help with a permit to access a fence for the road.
