Tuesday we heard from North Main Association Executive Director Nancy Drummond about the groups plan to update their master plan.Today we take a more detailed look at what may be included in that plan and what needs to be done for the update. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.

The original master plan for the North Main Association was implemented shortly after the organization was formed a decade ago in an effort to revitalize the North Main area of Sheridan. NMA Executive Director Nancy Drummond says that there is a process that needs to be followed in developing a new master plan.

Drummond explains what they are envisioning for an “anchor” of the North Main area.

The proposed Gateway Park is an approximate 30 acre natural park setting that is located in the area of the old North Main Interchange. Drummond said that the process of putting together a new master plan will take anywhere from three to six months to complete. She added that they are inviting people to their annual meeting on Tuesday, April 9, from 5:30 to 7 pm at the Trails End Motel in Sheridan, to offer their ideas on the future of North Main.
