Niche Ranks Big Horn High School No. 1 in State

Sheridan County’s District 1 high school in Big Horn has been ranked the top high school in the state by Niche.

According to the website, Niche has been ranking high schools for more than a decade. The rankings are the result of incorporating millions of opinions from more than 300,000 students and parents, dozens of statistical factors, and millions of student outcomes.

The accolade comes on the heels of two others recently received by the school. Big Horn High School was recognized earlier this month, in person by Gov. Matt Mead, for being named one of America’s Top 500 Schools for 2015 by Newsweek magazine and the top high school in Wyoming by MSN.com.

Sheridan County’s District 2 high school in Sheridan came in eighth in the state in the latest Niche ranking. Rounding out the top ten list in the Niche ranking were the high schools in Ten Sleep, Shoshoni, Afton, Hanna, Saratoga, Pinedale, Powell and Lander.
