Mary Jo Newton was approved for a position in the Northern Wyoming Mental Health Board after a vote by the Johnson County Commissioners at their meeting this week.

The commission also was updated by representatives of Northern Wyoming Mental Health on the services they are providing in the Kaycee area, and we will have more on that in an upcoming story.

Buffalo Police Chief Jason Carder and Johnson County Sheriff Rod Odenbach gave a presentation to the commission on their proposed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between them that outlines the agreement for extraterritorial law enforcement within each of their jurisdictions.

The commission approved and accepted the MOU, as did the Buffalo City Council at their meeting Tuesday evening.
