New Venue For Saturday's Buffalo Rabies Clinic

The Buffalo Rabies Clinic is coming up this Saturday, giving area pet owners a chance to protect their dogs and cats with low-cost vaccinations.

The big news for this year is a change of venue.

Buffalo Animal Control Officer (ACO) Karen Kimuits tells us about the new venue and some other details on the clinic.

The clinic will be in the community building at the fairgrounds from 9 o'clock to noon with Veterinarian Dr. Ashley Carr from Big Horn Veterinary Hospital, and then from 12:30 to 2:30 in the afternoon with Veterinarian Dr. Teresa Bessler from Buffalo Veterinary Clinic.

Rabies vaccinations are $10 each and city licenses are available for dogs for $10 each for spayed and neutered, and $20 each for unaltered dogs.

St. Francis Animal Shelter will be on hand to offer personalized name tags and micro-chipping of pets for $10 per pet.

All dogs must be on a leash and cats must be in a carrier.

For more information, contact ACO Karen Kimutis at the Buffalo Police Department at 684-5581.
