The Sheridan Police Department implemented new software about a month ago that will go along way in helping map crime and traffic incidents within the City. Police Chief Richard Adriaens comments on the new command central program that they're now using.

Adriaens indicated that they are still training with the new software and that once everyone at the department is up to speed with the new program, it will allow them to mine all of the data that is collected by officers. The command central software was paid for by a homeland security grant.
