The new Buffalo/Johnson County Recycling Center will have to wait at least a few more days to get power, according to Johnson County Commissioner Smokey Wildeman, who attended an meeting Monday to update the entities involved in the project.
According to Wildeman, Rocky Mountain Power cannot pinpoint exactly when they can install power to the new building, saying only it could be later this week.
Power lines must be strung from an existing pole to the new building, so there is much more involved than just flipping a switch.
Wildeman said the entites decided to make some improvements during the down time while waiting for power.
Once rotomill is laid around the building, the recycling center is expected to open even if power has not been supplied to the building.
We will know more in the next few days.
