A bill sponsored by State Senator Bruce Burns of Sheridan that was signed into law earlier this year by Governor Matt Mead, allowed for the City of Sheridan to receive two additional bar and grill licenses.

After the City Council adopted an ordinance in September raising the fees for the two new licenses, the City solicited applications for the licenses, but received none before the submittal deadline.

In an effort to give applicants more time to develop a business plan, the City Council Monday night adopted a resolution that sets the application deadline for one of the licenses for March 2nd of next year, and essentially puts the other license on hold for the time being. City Clerk Cecilia Good.

Good said the resolution allows for potential license holders to present their business plan to Council in a work session,
with a future decision to be made at a regular City Council Meeting.
