A swearing-in ceremony for a new member of the Sheridan Police Department was held Wednesday at Sheridan City Hall. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.

Friends, family, and colleagues filled Council Chambers Wednesday afternoon for the swearing-in of John Stallions as an officer with the Sheridan Police Department. I caught up with Stallions shortly after the ceremony to find out a little bit about the newest member of the force.

Police Chief Rich Adriaens says they continue to recruit to fill the open positions within the department.

Adriaens said that there are 30 budgeted positions within the department and that with the addition of Stallions, it brings the force to 28.
