The City of Sheridan held an open house and ribbon cutting Tuesday for the new Household Hazardous Waste Facility at the City Landfill. City Solid Waste Manager Charles Martineau.

Martineau explains when residents can dispose of their household hazardous waste free of charge.

The City has a licensed hazardous waste hauler that collects the waste and halls it out periodically. Martineau said that the total project cost for the Household Hazardous Waste Facility was approximately $69,000.
