New Airline Receives Positive Reviews

A week has passed since a new company restored commercial air service to the Sheridan area. Sheridan Media reporter Pat Blair brings us this update.

Denver Air Connection is getting positive reviews for service, and ticket sales are increasing. That's according to Dixie Johnson, who's director of the Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce and a member of CAST, the organization that helped bring the new airline to Sheridan this month.

That's what city and county officials hoped for, according to those that I talked with last week during the launch party that welcomed the new airline to the Sheridan County Airport. The comment of Ranchester Mayor Peter Clark was typical.

Sheridan Mayor John Heath welcomed the new airline for several reasons.

The chamber director said among compliments she's hearing for the new airline are that flights are on time or ahead of schedule. Denver Air Connection has twice-daily flights from Sheridan to Denver on six days a week, and a once-daily flight on Sundays. This week, that included a flight on Thanksgiving Day.
