National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week

National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week

On Monday, National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week begins, which gives recognition to the hard and often life saving work put in around the nation by those in dispatch centers. That’s according to Sheridan Police Sgt. Dan Keller.

Sgt. Keller said that this designation gives the department and community a chance to thank the dispatchers for the great work that they do. Since 1981, the second week of April has been set as National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week to celebrate and thank those who dedicate their lives to serving the public.
