Saturday is National Prescription Drug Take Back Day.

As part of a nationwide effort, The Department of Drug Enforcement Administration and the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation are sponsoring a Prescription Drug Take Back day this Saturday in Sheridan. Sheridan County Sheriff's Deputy Mandy Madry says that members from the Sheridan Police Department, the Alliance for Substance Abuse Prevention, and Sheridan Media will be taking your unwanted medications this weekend.

Prescription drug abuse has been steadily increasing nationwide and locally, and Madry points out that simply removing leftover pills is the first step in combating the problem.

The Prescription Drug Take Back Day will be this Saturday from 10 am to 2 pm in the Walgreen's parking lot. Be sure to tune into the Sheridan Media morning shows this Friday, as Mandy Madry will be a guest to discuss the event.
