May's Muffin Mondays Help Orphans

Looking for a great way to start your week? It's “Muffin Mondays in May” and Sheridan Media's Judy Hagerott brings us this story.

Monday was the first “Muffin Mondays in May” a fundraiser for a good cause. Shannon Rankin was up at 4:30 baking close to twelve dozen muffins and explains what Muffin Mondays is all about.

Adoptions can be expensive, for the Rankins it's going to cost around $42,000. But they're willing to work hard to bring the orphans into their family. Rankin tells us how she came up with the idea.

Muffin Mondays indeed! Chocolate, chocolate chip, zucchini, vanilla, and even a pancake, sausage with maple syrup muffin. And it's all by donation. Rankin says everyone can help with orphans.

Muffin Mondays in May is held in the Calvary Baptist Church parking lot at 1660 Big Horn Ave., every Monday morning through May from 7-9.
