‘More Than Just a Building’

Joey’s Fly Fishing Foundation is proposing to build an approximate 4,000 square foot educational science center on a little over 2 acres of property that is owned by SEEDA and the City of Sheridan located on Decker Road in north Sheridan.

Joey Puettman, Founder and Executive Director of Joey's Fly Fishing Foundation, says that the science center will provide an abundance of opportunities for local youth.

Tina Krueger, owner of Steady Stream Hydrology in Sheridan, is a strategic partner with the foundation, and she says that the current space on Main Street in downtown Sheridan has its limitations.

Puettman says that they’ve got a ballpark figure of what the science center would cost.

We’ll conclude our series on the science center Thursday, with a look at the restoration work to Goose Creek that would take place prior to construction of the facility.
