Cheyenne Buyert, who's Miss Sheridan County, said she's really excited to be back for this year's Miss Wyoming scholarship pageant, set for the next month at Sheridan's WYO Theater.

Buyert and Patricia Caywood, the Miss Wyoming pageant executive director, were guest speakers at Friday's Rotary Club meeting. In an interview with Sheridan Media, Buyert said she represented Sheridan County for the first time in last year's Miss Wyoming pageant.

She calls her platform “Winning with One."

Buyert during her speech to the Rotary members said that was also her platform last year. This year's Miss Wyoming pageant is June 24. Caywood said being part of the pageant program has helped her evolve.

Caywood said a contestant must be at least 18 and can't be over the age of 24, must be attending or planning to attend college, and can't be married or have children. She talked about what it means to be a Miss Wyoming contestant.

All of this year's Miss Wyoming contestants were invited to Friday's Rotary meeting, but this week's bad weather and road conditions reportedly prevented the other contestants from traveling to Sheridan.
