Meteorologist Blames Deep Freeze on Pacific Ocean

One of Wyoming's leading meteorologists is blaming the state's deep freeze on Pacific Ocean temperatures.

News Director Leslie Stratmoen has the report.

A meteorologist who provides weather reports for about 70 stations in the state says Wyoming's had similar cold waves as the current deep-freeze, but not for decades.

Meteorologist Don Day said the last time temperatures stayed below zero like this for several days was 30-40 years ago.

He said Wyoming's weather is influenced by the Pacific Ocean.

He gave the report yesterday, directly to Host Kim Love on our news talk show, Public Pulse. To hear the interview, click here.
