Mental Health And Substance Abuse Training Seminar To Take Place Next Week In Buffalo

The TA Health Education Foundation in conjunction with the Wyoming Department of Health and the Prescription Drug Abuse Stakeholders Task Force will be hosting a four day Mental Health and Substance Abuse Training symposium next week in Buffalo.

The conference will allow professionals from the health care industry and law enforcement agencies along with employers to obtain a better understanding of how mental health issues and drug and alcohol addiction are having a profound effect on our state.

TA Health Education Foundation Director Kirsten Giles says those attending will be able to pick and choose what seminars they want to attend.

The symposium will also include the 1st annual conference on Prescription Drug Abuse. U.S. Attorney for Wyoming Kelly Rankin Chairs the Prescription Drug Abuse Stakeholders Task force, and he says that while methamphetamine use has slowly declined over the past ten years in Wyoming, prescription drug abuse has been on the rise.

The Mental Health and Substance Abuse Training symposium will take place October 6th through the 9th at the TA Guest Ranch in Buffalo. More information on the conference, or how you can register is available at
