Memorial Hospital Holds Contest for Card Design

All students in third through fifth grade in Sheridan County are invited to submit Christmas card designs for Sheridan Memorial Hospital's Christmas card contest.

Entries are due on Nov. 26, and the creator of the winning design will receive a $50 cash prize, and his or her name will be printed on the back side of the Christmas card.

Space permitting, all entries will be displayed in the hospital lobby throughout the Christmas season.

The theme of this year's card is “The Birth of Jesus,” also known as the Nativity Story. Artwork must fit into the box outlined on page two of the entry form, and should not be folded.

Artwork should be in color and must be an original creation of the child and not mechanically or electronically generated. The child's name should be neatly printed on the back side of the artwork, and the entry form, signed by a parent or guardian, must be enclosed with the artwork.

There should be only one entry per child. Third, fourth and fifth grade students who are children of Sheridan Memorial Hospital staff may enter the contest even if they don't live in Sheridan County.

The entry form can be found on the hospital's website at Search for “Christmas Card Art Contest.”

Entries can be mailed to Sheridan Memorial Hospital, 1405 West 5th Street, Sheridan, WY or dropped off at the hospital's main entrance or at the hospital's downtown location on Gould Street.
