Memorial Day Events in Sheridan

There are several ceremonial events that will take place Memorial Day in Sheridan. Sheridan Media's Ron Richter has the details.

Memorial Day will begin with the traditional parade and ceremony in downtown Sheridan that's made possible by the Sheridan Veterans Council. The parade will begin at 10 am and move from Main and Dow to the Sheridan County Courthouse, concluding with the laying of the wreaths in front of the courthouse. The ceremony will then move to the Sheridan Municipal Cemetery at 11:30, where a remembrance of the American Legion Post Everlasting will be conducted.

At 2 pm, Sheridan College will hold a ceremony where the placement of the engraved brick pavers honoring United States Veterans will take place at the recently finished Veterans Plaza in front of the college. Over 300 bricks will be dedicated during the ceremony, that will include a musical performance by the Sheridan College Brass Quintet.
