Meeting Wyoming’s Birds of Prey

Science Saturday had some very special guests all the way from Cody that had kids and parents alike, sitting on the edge of their seats.

The meeting room at the Thorne Rider Center was packed full as the Draper Museum of Natural History brought four birds of prey, their Avian Ambassadors, for people to see up close and learn about.

Live Raptor Program Manager, Melissa Hill presented the program and said.

Raptors are an everyday occurrence, but she said kids need to know why birds of prey are important.

Heather Bassar had a front row seat and said.

Kellen Medill had this to say about owls.

The highlight of the morning was tearing apart owl pellets to discover what the owl had to eat.
