Medicaid Vital Insurance Source in Rural Wyo

(WY News Service) -- Three big components - demographics, economics and healthcare - make Medicaid vital in rural areas of Wyoming, that's according to a new study by the Center for Rural Affairs. Study author, Jon Bailey, CFRA director of research and analysis.

According to the study, 65 percent of rural residents using Medicaid have at least one family member in the workforce.

The study found that Medicaid coverage is used most by children, low-income residents with disabilities, low-income seniors and pregnant women. Find the full study at
