Mead, Meyer Among Those Appointed to UW Presidential Search Committee

16 individuals, including former Governor Matt Mead and former State Auditor Rita Meyer, have been selected by the University of Wyoming Board of Trustees to form a Search Committee to help determine who will be the institutions next President. UW Vice President for Communications and Marketing Chad Baldwin explains.

The committee will be tasked with sending around 12 qualified candidates to the Trustees based on a majority vote of the committee and the Trustees on the committee. The names of the applicants all the way up to the semifinalists will be kept confidential. Once the list has been narrowed down to 3-5 finalists, they will be publicly identified and brought to the UW campus for public input. Finalist interviews will be conducted in Executive Sessions and then the top one or two candidates will be selected.
