A local holiday store offered the community items that can impact the the world for the better. Hannah Stepenoff was there and has the story.

The “Give With Impact” Holiday Store opened its doors at the “Shall We Dance” Ballroom in Sheridan for the second year in a row today/Saturday. Organizer Emily Betzler said the holiday-themed gift market features items that are fair trade and help create positive impacts all over the world.

She said the idea behind the holiday store began last year, when she and others launched the Christian online market called “Bought Beautifully”, which officially became a non-profit organization recently.

Lisa Case was at the store selling Narimon Jewelry, a Bangkok company that helps impoverished women feel empowered by making jewelry and other crafts.

There are many more vendors and representatives like Case, whose companies aim to make the world a better place. Money raised by each seller at the market will go to other causes including rehabilitation for victims of human trafficking, care for orphans, and access to education and fair pay for those in third world countries.
