State Representative Mike Madden of Buffalo, during his recent interview with Sheridan Media, discussed another bill that he is watching in this year's Legislature concerning the optional sales tax.

Madden explained that the state allows local governments to tax up to two general penny taxes and up to 2 optional penny taxes, but only up to three total locally, in addition to the state's sales tax.

He explains what the bill will do.

House Bill 82, passed by the House, has been sent over for introduction in the Senate.

We will have more from Representative Madden later this week.
