EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson testified before the Interior and Environment Subcommittee of the Appropriations Committee this week regarding the agency's requests for its 2013 budget. While Jackson may have appeared before the appropriations committee to talk budget requests, U.S. Representative Cynthia Lummis had a few questions for Jackson regarding the EPA's draft report on groundwater contamination near Pavillion.

Lummis said that it's been extremely frustrating since the draft non-peer reviewed report was issued to see how many people have jumped to conclusions. Lummis added that there is indeed contaminated drinking water in Pavillion, but that we still don't know for sure if it came from fracking.
