Lottery Launches Cowboy Draw In-State Game

Wyoming’s first in-state lottery game, Cowboy Draw, has been launched, with the first draw scheduled for Monday, then every Monday and Thursday after that at 2 in the afternoon.

Lottery CEO Jon Clontz stopped by the station to give us the details.

He said it’s a simple draw game, with a ticket cost of $5 and two chances to win, from two sets of five numbers.

He said the minimum jackpot payout when picking all five numbers is a quarter of a million dollars, but could roll up to a million, depending on the number of players. Smaller payouts are $5 for two numbers, $20 for three and $1,000 for four.

Tickets can be purchased, he said, up to an hour before the draw and this game has a 68 percent payout, meaning players have a 68 percent chance of winning. As part of the new game launch, he said, there is a promotional contest to win $10,000 that involves taking a selfie of your ticket purchase. Entries must be in by March 29. Details can be found by going to the lottery website posted below.
