A Look Back in Time: Sept. 6, 1919

Now here's Sheridan Media's look back in time, to 100 years ago, by reporter Pat Blair as published in the Sheridan Enterprise newspaper on Sept. 6, 1919.

The ranch of G.W. Garrett, embracing 520 acres on Big Goose creek, four and a half miles from Sheridan, was sold yesterday to F.L. Sturtevant. The deal amounted to $35,000.

E.V. Newcomer was in from the ranch today visiting his family at their new home at 446 South Tschirgi.

W.P. Ricketts, a prominent stockman of Campbell county, will soon begin building a beautiful home at the corner of Thurmond street and College avenue in Sheridan.

C.C. Riley has started the foundation for a new house to be built on South Thurmond street on a lot recently purchased from J.A. Stager.
