A Look Back in Time: Sept. 23, 1917

Now here's Sheridan Media's look back in time, to 100 years ago, by reporter Pat Blair as published in the Sheridan Enterprise newspaper on Sept. 23, 1917.


All owners of automobiles are requested to be in line this afternoon with their machines decorated, to take part in the greatest parade in the history of Sheridan. The event is to honor the men recruited into the national army.

The Gem theater today is showing “The Soul Herder,” a three-part 101 Bison feature with the famous Universal star Harry Carey. The Gem's 10-piece orchestra will feature a special selected program.

H.H. Luke and R.D. McLane of Dayton were in Sheridan last week to attend the democratic meeting.

The Bank of Arvada has reported nearly $54,000 in resources and about the same amount in liabilities as of Sept. 11.
