A Look Back in Time: Sept. 16, 1917

Now here's Sheridan Media's look back in time, to 100 years ago, by reporter Pat Blair as published in the Sheridan Enterprise newspaper on Sept. 16, 1917.

On or about Sept. 20, a government inspection of horses and mules of all classes for army service will be held at the Burlington stock yards. Watch for details.

The first citizenship classes will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the annex to the Central School. Professor J.J. Early will preside, and the class will be free to all those who wish to prepare themselves for citizenship.

Mr. and Mrs. Tom Lamb now reside at 752 Sumner street.

The Coffeen PTA will hold its first meeting tomorrow afternoon at 4 o'clock in the Coffeen School.
