A Look Back in Time: Sept. 13, 1917

Now here's Sheridan Media's look back in time, to 100 years ago, by reporter Pat Blair as published in the Sheridan Enterprise newspaper on Sept. 13, 1917.

The Sheridan Commercial Club, working through a committee, will take full charge of celebrations in honor of the second contingent of men to be sent to the National Army next Wednesday. A banquet will be held for the departing soldiers at about 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Mr. James J. Withrow, county clerk and a membr of the district board, returned this afternoon from a vacation in the country.

Charles Chaplin stars in “The Cure,” a Mutual Special at Sheridan's Grand theater today. Admission is 5 and 15 cents for the matinee, 10 and 20 cents for the night show.
